Question: Hello, I've been suffering from renal stone since February. The stone got detected after an UTI. I also had bilateral parenchymal changes but that is non-existent as per current ultrasound report. Presently it is a 3mm renal calculi at the upper pole calyx that is stagnant at that position since February. I've enclosed the Urine Report, Ultrasound Image of Kidneys and Ultrasound report for your kind perusal.

Brief Answer:
It will pass down through urine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have 3mm non obstructing stone in Upper Calyx of Left Kidney.

Normally stone of this size pass down through ureter down into bladder and expelled out through urethra with urine.Active intervention is required in very few cases when it gets impacted into ureter and hinders the flow of urine from kidney down into bladder causing hydronephrosis.

Please drink more water and take smooth muscle relaxants like Drotaverine with antibiotics twice daily for 10 days.It will pass down of its own .

Repeat Ultrasound scanning after 2 weeks.

Ensure to drink more water. To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,
I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
