Question: I have nosebleed, I also spit blood clots thinking it was a phlegm. I am under medication for high blood pressure ,high cholesterol and thyroid. I just finished 3 days prednisone after 10 days of treatment, I have asthma and take Advair twice daily.

I am sorry for the situation you are in.

Having nosebleed, taking into account your medical history, might be related to:
- spikes in blood pressure (bp): monitor your bp, record the results to pass to your doctor
- lung infection or other problems: get chest X-ray done to check it out
- laceration of mucosa of upper respiratory tract due to asthma attack

I highly recommend to consult with your physician as soon as possible or to go to ER for immediate evaluation.

Meanwhile, until you seek medical attention, you should:
- keep your head faced to ground to let the blood coming out
- press the upper part of the nose to stop bleeding
