Question: Hi I have had for a week now painfull right ear also get numbness tingling and some times pain in the right upper side of my face, and my right side of my head. Is this just an ear infection.
Brief Answer:
Could be middle ear infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You seem to have middle ear infection what we technically call Otitis Media. The terms differ by the nature of pathology ongoing in the middle ear cavity. The space is very less inside the middle ear. If there is more secretions called suppurative otitis media, serous otitis media etc.
The symptoms that you talk here relate to Otitis Media and may be external ear infection as well. There is pressure being built up causing such pain.
Please see an ENT surgeon to confirm the same. The treatment requires a high dose of antibiotics if confirmed for a period of one week to 10 days.
Hope this answers.
