Question: I had a stroke May 1st, 33 days after a lumpectomy. My left foot is still numb, I'm on my 5th round of chemo and being treated for hep C as well. Can you suggest anything I can do at home? I've tried rubbing the foot with different textures, massaging the foot, I've used a tens unit a couple times.

Brief Answer:
Continue medications for stroke

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The numbness due to stroke is possible due to damage to brain.
Peripheral stimulation may not be very effective.
The numbness will improve with time once the damaged area is contained and nearby areas takes the function.
Continue medications advised by neurologist for stroke.
Tens can be applied under guidance.
