Suggest Treatment For Optic Neuritis In Left Eye
Question: Hello Dr. 30 yrs ago I had optic neuritis in my left eye
right now I am on Tobradex 2 drops 4 times a day. for 10 days Have used them and this is my 6th day.At first the left eye burned for a couple of times then was OK The last 3 application it has caused burning and a feeling of something in it ( the left eye) Should I stop them ? will it cause optic nerve damage ?

It seems from the history that you are on treatment with tobradex eye drops for symptoms of burning and itching of the eyes. Tobradex being combination of antibiotic and streroid eye drop can be used for treatment of these symptoms.
Burning sensation on applying the eye drop is normal and no need to worry about it. This burning sensation will be more in the beginning will slowly decrease in severity as that drops is used continuously. This will not affect the optic nerve and hence no need to be worried.

Thank you Dr I am a Dental Hygienist and I wonder if I got this eye problem--the itching.burning from bacteria while I am scaling teeth with an electronic scaler?
