Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
From the history you gave it looks like you might have oral submucosal fibrosis. It is seen in patients who have habbit of chewing tobacco or as in your condition pan chewing which contains supari (betal nuts).
The first thing is stopping chewing tobacco or pan as you said you have done since last 4 months which is a very good step.
You need to consult a dentist for proper examination of oral cavity to look for any lesions or ulcers in the mouth. The degree of fibrosis is also to be seen for so we know how much severe it is.
There are some medications which can help like corticosteroids which are to be taken orally and chewed for local action.
Some also give injections of steroids locally or systemically.
Also exercise daily opening your mouth for 5 mins atleast 5 to 6 times a day. Streching the mouth so as to break the fibrotic bands might help to some extent.
But dental examination is must and also need to examine the oral cavity for any lesions should be done as this is precancerous stage and might lead to orsl cancer if you hadn't stopped.
Kindly show to a dentist for further treatment.
Hope this advice helps.
if you have any questions kindly ask me.
Thank you
