Suggest Treatment For Pain After Intercourse

Question: we have 10 years married life. Recently, my wife feels little pain after intercourse. so we rush to a gynaecologist for check-up. The USG report revealed that she had a very small erosion in the cervical area of the uterus. Now she is feared to have intercourse as she thinks that the erosion my become large if we do intercourse again. I need your suggestion. Is it harmful to have intercourse.

1) It is not possible to diagnose cervical erosion by ultrasound scan. Cervical erosion needs to be identified by clinical examination by a gynecologist.

2) I think your ultrasound scan report is wrong. Please see another doctor for correct opinion.

3) Please get examined by a gynecologist for cervical erosion and painful intercourse.

Yes, we have consulted with a gynaecologist and after clinical examination she confirmed us that there is small cervical erosion.

Such pain is unlikely to be due to cervical erosion alone.

Likely causes could be vaginal infection or decreased lubrication during intercourse. Use KY Jelly during intercourse to decrease friction and thus pain.
