Brief Answer:
you need to see doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Certain degree of pain and small hematomas and bruisings may be usual and expected but this sounds more serious and it should not hurt so much and there should not be larger hematomas. You need to see doctor since this may be sign of femoral artery or vein injury and bleeding into leg muscle. This is known com0plication of catheterization and you need to do CT angiography urgently to rule out vessel injury which should be surgically repaired then. Also, it would be wise to apply elastic bandage, keep leg elevated and rest, for pain, you should take Tramadol or Paracetamo. Wish you good health. Regards
