Suggest Treatment For Pain And Diarrhea While On Augmentin
Question: Long post embolization period
It's been 30 days since my fibroid embolization and I am on the 13th day of my period. I've had 4 days of heavy bleeding and intense pain like never before (both bleeding and pain from day 3 to 6). The bleeding is light now but the pain today worried me a little, it's bearable but discomforting and sometimes it's in my back around the kidney area. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound on Monday but I was wondering maybe I need to see a doctor sooner. I'm also very exhausted after 2 weeks of on and off diarrhea probably due to augmentin. Should I be worried? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

I have gone through your history and understand your concerns.
After fibroid embolisation usually period will reduce in quantity or get stopped and next period usually come on time.
In your case as you are bleeding since long and pain is also persist,it can be due to growth of new fibroid, infection or incomplete removal of previous fibroid.
You should consult your treating doctor and get yourself examined and investigation done to rule out the above mentioned cause.
As you are having pain in kidney area and if you are having difficulty in urination, UTI should be ruled out.
