Suggest Treatment For Pain And Pressure In The Wrist
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: My left thumb recently bent by itself and I instantly felt a painful pressure in my wrist, or just below my wrist. It was a very uncomfortable feeling as I used my other hand to try to force my thumb to straighten. So I stopped and waited it out. It was all over after 2 or 3 minutes. What caused that?
Brief Answer:
Low calcium levels causing muscle spasm
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
It is possible that you have experienced a muscle spasm.
This can cause weird posturing of the hand, fingers and thumb.
This can be due to low calcium levels, low Magnesium levels. Do get blood tests for the same to confirm.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
