Since you do experience only tenderness and no significant pain, complications like an underlying fracture is unlikely. The swelling is likely an inflammatory reaction to trauma which will decrease in few days. Here are few things you can try
-You can apply ice on the swollen area
-Give adequate rest to affected arm
-Crepe bandage cal also be used to provide compression to reduce the swelling
-You can also take Advil 400 mg up to 6 times a day.
