Brief Answer:
No need to worry for this.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Surgical incisions, with time show healing and produce fibrosis.
This fibrous tissue is stiff in nature.
So any movement can cause rubbing between the layers and slight pain.
This is normal finding after in any surgical incision.
In sternum area, due to bony structure, pain is slightly more as compare to other parts of body.
So if you are having dull aching pain then no need to worry.
But if you are having fever with progressively worsening pain then immediately get done ultrasound examination of local area to rule out any underlying collection.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
