Suggest Treatment For Pain Due To Gallstones

Question: ive been told I have gallstones and im taking hydrocodone for pain but they are not working like they should should I just forego the meeting with the surgeon and go to the er
Brief Answer:
Consult a surgeon
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your query. You are already diagnosed with gallstone (Cholelithiasis) and hydrocodone is not relieving you of pain. Symptomatic case of gallstone need a surgical removal of gall bladder.
You should see a surgeon for planned cholecystectomy. He will assess your vitals and do the removal. If you are having severe pain, then you can visit ER for immediate and temporary relief with medicines.
Hope i have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
