Suggest Treatment For Pain In Back After Taking Postinor
Question: Hello Doc,
On the 6th Feb 2015 i had a MVA.
On the 22nd Feb 2015 i got my period which lasted 5 days.
On the 8th March 2015 i had sex but i was not sure if the condom was used 100% properly. Immediately after i took Postinor 2 single dose.
On the 11th March 2015 i had sex again and used a condom but this time it burst so I immediately took the Postinor 2 single dose again.
I just did a pregnancy test but it was negative.
I am having slight pain on the left side mainly near the back but which started out in the front.
I am worried if I might be pregnant and i also was told that I am not supposed to take Postinor 2 more than twice a year.
Am i in any danger and is there anything i should be worried about?
Also considering I had an MVA on the 6th and my period came just 16 days after is my cycle normal at all just yet?
Thanks for any advice given.

Brief Answer:
You are not pregnant
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns about possibility of pregnancy.
Since you have had MVA recently, it gives you protection against pregnancy. Pregnancy cannot occur so soon after MVA.
You shouldn't have taken postinor twice. Anyway no harm now by taking.
Getting periods sooner after MVA is normal due to altered hormones. Don't worry about it.
As of now I don't see possibility of pregnancy. Don't worry about it or back pain as a cause.
Let me know if you need any more clarifications.

Dr. Soumya

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX
Thank you very much for your response.
When you say getting periods earlier is normal after a MVA, can you tell me on average till how long might be my next period and if after what time frame and no period when I should be worried?
Thanks again for all your help.

Brief Answer:
Periods could also be delayed
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Your periods should come after a month from previous period.
But if they are delayed, don't worry about it. It takes about 3 months for periods to become regular after MVA. Periods could occur early or late. Don't worry about it for 3 months.
