Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lungs While Breathing
Question: I have had a nasty cold for 4 days with a wheezing cough. My nasal congestion is better but my lungs are getting worse. I have a rattle in my chest/back when i take a deep breath. Also my lungs hurt sometimes when i take a deep breath. I am a smoker and gave been trying to quit over the past few weeks. About a half pack a day. Should i be seen or wait it out a bit? I also have an albuterol inhaler from this winter i have used a few times. Thanks.
Brief Answer:
please meet your doctor
Detailed Answer:
hello!!
I am really concerned about your symptoms , specially considering the smoking history and i would like you to meet your doctor as soon as possible!
It looks like that the infection is spreading in your lungs and getting worse .You will need antibiotics for it and may also need supervised medical care.
Please meet your doctor , he will examine you and order some tests like chest x ray and sputum for microbial culture. with these, he will be able to guide you further.
For the time being , please stop smoking completely! and start steam inhalation 2-3 times a day.
Thanks
