Suggest Treatment For Pain In Pelvic Area And Dysuria
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I have had a burning pain in my pelvis area on the right hand side, just above my groin for 2 weeks now.
I often feel a burning sensation when I urinate; this burning often feels in a large area from the groin all the way up to the pelvis.
In addition to this, I’ve had these severe sharp pains in my groin area, shooting pains. I cannot walk or move with these pains. These last around 30 seconds. Not long and go away. I feel stiffness afterwards. I have suffered from tendonitis but it is a different kind of pain.
I have also had problems with my feet as they are at different degree different angles and I am seeing an orthotic specialist.
I saw my GP a month ago and she thinks it’s my hip due to my foot condition.
However, the pain feels higher up than where my hip and the pain has become more frequent.
I’ve also noticed my stool is a black tar colour. I also suspect my urine has been a darker colour lately but today it is not dark. I don’t know whether I’m imaging this.
I’ve been sweating a lot more recently and this is unusual. I’ve realised it started to occur the same time my pelvis pain began. I’ve never considered it was connected.
I know it sound stupid but I've been having nightmares regarding my symptoms.
Possibilities discussed
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you.
Multiple possible causes can be considered for this question. It will need detailed investigation.
First possibility is a pyelonephritis, a kind of urine infection involving the kidney.
You will need to test a urine routine with ultrasound of the abdomen.
Second black stools or malena indicates bleeding from the intestine unless you are on iron supplement.
It needs ultrasound abdomen and scopy.
You will need to meet a gastroenterology specialist for the scopy.
Third to connect the 2 conditions and the black urine porphyria has to be ruled out. You need urine test for the same.
Also , a possibility of cancer will need to be ruled out. The scopy and ultrasound will be able to give some information on this possibility.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal
