Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have tendonitis in my elbow and prednisone has not helped. I was told a cortisone shot in that area would help, however, I have had breast cancer on that side and have been told to protect that arm (no blood draws or blood pressure taken in that arm). Would the cortisone shot affect the lymph nodes in that arm?
Cortisone shots are injections that can help relieve pain and inflammation. It can only lower the inflammation of the lymph nodes. It certainly does not cause any negative effect.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
