Suggest Treatment For Pain In Shoulder Joints

default
Posted on Wed, 28 Jan 2015
Question: Several weeks ago felt a tweak in my shoulder when doing bench press. Stopped lifting immediately and have focused on cardio since then to let it heal. It has been about 6 weeks and its not better. The pain is on the back part of the shoulder right in the area of where the top of the tricep meets the shoulder. It really only bothers me when I reach across my body like when I try to wash my left shoulder blade in the shower for example. Is it possible I tore something?

Brief Answer:
It can be ac joint injury

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you might have injured your AC joint. This is the joint where our clavicle bone join with shoulder bone. I would recommend you to follow these steps.
1. Get x ray to see if there is abnormality at AC joint.
2. If x ray is normal than it can be a fluid collection in the joint. To confirm this diagnosis you would need to show it to a orthopaedic surgeon.
3. Hot water fomentation will also be helpful for it.
4. Tablet Brufen daily for two weeks.
I hope these steps will be helpful to you. Avoid any weight lifting or bench press exercises.
Let me know if there is any other foloowup questions.
thanks.
