Suggest Treatment For Pain In Sides While Coughing
Question: I have significant pain over the area where my right ovary lies. This pain increases with activity, but especially when I lie down from a seated position, or lift my right leg. It also is very uncomfortable when I cough. I also have a dull ache in my low back (very low, right above my tail bone). My OB/GYN did a sonogram and didn't see any cysts that would be causing pain. He thought it may be scar tissue from an appendectomy I has in 1989. This seems odd.

I am 5'9", 180lbs and 38. I had my appendectomy 25 years ago. Back pain x1 year. Stomach pain x 2 months. Urine is clear and free of bacteria. Nothing else to report other than bloating and gas combined with loose stool x6 weeks. I am unable to upload the scan.
Brief Answer:
Need to look at the scan.
Detailed Answer:
I need to look at the scan to be sure of what is happening out there.
Combined with your bowel issues, it seems as if you might be having an inflamed bowel / diverticulitis.
I would recommend an abdominal CT scan, and consulting a GI surgeon who might evaluate you.
Take care.
