Nerve entrapment syndromes should be ruled out.

Hi
Thank you for asking Health care magic forum.
I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely due to nerve entrapment syndrome. It can be from higher level like lumbar radiculopathy (sciatica) or in lower levels like lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (meralgia paresthetica) or in genitofemoral nerve.
A physical examination by a neurologist will be helpful to get a clue. In meralgia parasthetica a characteristic tinel sign will be positive-tapping the nerve which lies beneath the inguinal ligament elicit symptoms. X ray doesn't gives more information. A MRI lumbosacral spine will be needed in case of positive signs while physical examination to rule out sciatica. Electrodiagnostic testing will be helpful in ruling out individual entrapment of nerves also.
Neuropathic pain needs long term treatment with regular follow up with your doctor along with physiotherapy and muscle strengthening exercises. Antiseizure drugs like gabapentin or pregabalin is used. Tramadol, local capsaicin cream and topical lidocaine will be helpful also. Local corticosteroid injections also is performed if severe pain. Prolong standing , prolong sitting in one position and compressive dressings should be avoided. Physiotherapy like TENS will be helpful also.
If all these not working then surgical decompression can be considered.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
