Question: My husband was XXXXXXX welding today and now his eyes burn when he closes them when they r open they r in pain too what can he due to help with the pain.

Thanks for sending your query to us.This is an ultra violet burn due to exposure to welding light and it takes 6 hours to develop.So an evening exposure wakes you up by 2 AM,when not much of medical help is available.
Refresh Tears eye drop or such lubricant eye drops like tears naturale is to be put in almost half hourly.This will give relief in about 3 hours time.As a supportive measure,a pain killer can be had just now.
