Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Front Of The Shoulder
Question: This morning after getting up I felt like I had "slept wrong" on my left shoulder. The upper frontal portion of my tendon felt like it had been pinched or something. massaging the area on the top of mt shoulder elicites a feeling of a tight stringy muscle. Pulling toward me with my left arm, or raising it overhead produces a quick pain. If I lift my left arm with my right hand, it is OK to keep raised. Bursitis? Tendonitis? If I put my left arm in a "sling" position, it feels better. Thank you!
Brief Answer:
Tendonitis or pulled muscle.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The symptoms that you have are more likely to be due to tendonitis or a pulled muscle. The pain will get relieved with mild pain killers and a hot compress. Applying a local analgesic gel in the area will also help.
Do avoid all the painful movements and give your arm a rest for few days.
I hope this answers your query.
