Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Ribs
Question: My mother in law has these patches but her pain is in the rib area under her breast. Can these patches be cut so they will fit under her breast without rolling up?
Brief Answer:
yes, but depends on the patch.
Detailed Answer:
there is ketorolac/aspirin and this might be a bit helpful
there is lidocaine It works on the nerve Outward. So placing at the spot might not be as good as between the spot and the spine.
then there is narcotic patches (fentanyl) the patch ... which is applied about every 3 days is merely a way to hold a lot of drug. It does not matter where it is put on. It gets in slowly. goes everywhere, and doesn't do a lot at the spot.
