It doesn't matter if I'm in bed or bending over tying a shoelace. Something must be irritated. Tonight it happened paganism and I swore that I could feel a sharp ridge or bulge to the right of my sternum under ref right breat. I have had a scan for my gall bladder but it never showed up. It has not been removed. I also have diverticulitis but understand that that condition appears on the left hand side. I don't know what to do. I fi food colonoscopies very painful. What might it be?

Brief Answer:
May be costochondritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
I have read the history carefully and finding of > could feel a sharp ridge or bulge to the right of my sternum under ref right breast and normal scan indicates that it can be a severe costochondritis.

I would advise you to consult your Doctor again and discuss this point.
If you press on the area, there can be increase in pain.
This is not the area of pain or tenderness in diverticulitis.
If the liver or the gall bladder is increased to this extent that it can be palpated as you have explained, they can certainly be seen on ultrasound or so.

I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and treatment.
Since you have have already seen a Doctor/Surgeon, I wonder how is it not diagnosed really.
Please consult a Doctor asap so that an actual examination can help to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
