Suggest Treatment For Pain In Upper Back And Sharp Pain During Breath Intake

Question: Pain in upper left part of back, towards middle. tight and sharp when i breath in. Uncomfortable and sore in general. Hurts to sit hunched over, hurts to sit straight up. also minor pain in right side of upper back and left side of body where spleen is. aching and uncomfortable to lay down as well. I have a uti infection if that means anything. Not sure if this is heart related, lung related, or uti related. Doesn't hurt where kidneys are, hurts in upper back. Primarily left side but right side too when i bend over.
Brief Answer:
Better to get done X ray of chest and lumber spine
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion, you should get done chest x ray and x ray of lumber spine.
Chest x ray is needed to rule out lung infection. Because lung infection can cause similar pain.
Another possibility is pathology of lumber spine. Because in this condition, similar kind if pain can be seen.
It is less likely due to heart and kidney related diseases.
So better to get done
1. Chest x ray to rule out lung infection.
2. X ray of lumber spine to rule out spine pathology.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Neither actually. I ran into a door knob the other dog and hit my stomach/spleen..now it hurts where my spleen is. The dr said my spleen looks fine and is back down to 13cm. Is there anyway someone could have messed up my ultrasound ?

just steady. Is there any possible way that someone could mess up an ultrasound
Brief Answer:
I don't understand what you want to ask.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I am sorry. But I think we are not getting to the point. And mince meat information you provide is not helping it either. May I know what you meant by someone could have mess up an ultrasound - do you mean someone changed ultrasound report or typed the report wrongly?
As far as the pain goes, with the information you provided yet it points towards musculoskeletal in nature. Worthwhile to screen spine as instructed earlier.
Thanks.

I'm sorry. In other words it is hard for me to believe that my spleen is back to normal size. on the left side of my body, under my left breast, my skin is protruding like my spleen is sticking out. It no longer hurts but it doesn't look very good. Although my side is still a bit sore. Can I ask, is the spleen on the side of your body, or in front ? Would you like to see my blood work ?
Brief Answer:
Spleen is retroperitoneal structure.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
No need for sorry.
Are you saying that initially you had enlarged spleen and now in ultrasound spleen size is normal? Is it so?
And spleen is retroperitoneal structure. It is more towards back and side.
But when it is enlarged it comes in the front side.
So if you are feeling your spleen in front then it is mostly enlarged.
Have you get done ultrasound abdomen?
And yes, send me youd blood reports.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

Exactly. It is right below my left breast. Is that where it would come out? They did an ultrasound and said my spleen is 13cm. but i don't understand how that is when its clearly sticking out of my front a little bit. But it is directly under my left breast there is a large pocket sticking out. Thank you for being so kind by the way. I will attach blood reports now. :)
Brief Answer:
Your urine infection is still there.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I have gone through urine and blood reports you have attached.
You are still having urine infection.
Your Urinary bacteria is 3+ and Urine WBC count is also high.
Both these are indicative of urine infection.
And normal spleen size is upto 11 cm.
So 13 cm is definitely enlarged spleen.
Are you having any urinary complaints at present?
Have you undergone urine culture to isolate the organism?
Are you sexually active?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.
