Brief Answer:
Not that bad.

Detailed Answer:
Features of addiction are craving, use of narcotics for reasons OTHER than pain, compulsion to use the drugs. It is a chronic, progressive disorder in which someone gets progressively off the rails and uses drugs outside the parameters and guidelines of the prescribing physician, progressively avoiding boundaries on behaviors, and progressviely having bad consequences from this and still continuing to use the drugs.

You haven't mentioned much of this. AND....
progressively needing more than the minimum dose of narcotics
having side effects of narcotics such as constipation
having some symptoms of not taking the drugs (withdrawal)
This isn't addiction. The drugs just do that.
.
If one did have addiction to narcotics there are a variety of ways of dealing with it. Admitting the problem to doctors, faimly would be helpful. If someone is using drugs based on compulsions and triggers with discontrol, then finding ways around this would include being on a drug that prevents the action of the narcotic from feeing into the compusion (naloxone, or suboxone). Getting support through 12 step programs.
