Suggest Treatment For Pain Near The Knee And Hip Joint
" LIMBS: Perfusion and Blood pool phase: Mildy increased tracer uptake seen in the region of the left knee joint, Left mid shaft of femur, lateral condyle of left femur. Delayed phase: Delayed images shows increased tracer accumulation along the margins of the prosthesis in the left lower femur, concentrating maximally at the left mid shaft & lateral condyle of left femur. "
Could you please let me know your view on the report. One more point, there is no redness or fever all these days.
Suggests inflammation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The bone scan report suggests an increased tracer uptake around the joint. This is suggestive of an inflammation in the area. It can be related to osteoporosis. If she is getting a complete pain relief at rest then a loosened prosthesis is not likely. It is best to do a hot compress thrice a day in the painful area and add some calcium supplements regularly to her diet.
I hope this answers your query.
