Suggest Treatment For Painful And Swollen Area On The Jaws

Submandibular lymphadenitis secondary to canker sore
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting the query
After going through the history, I do understand that the swelling below the right lower jaw line could be an inflamed lymph node secondary to the canker sore.
There are various lymph nodes in the body which drain the fluid called lymph from the surrounding region. In your case, the submandibular group of lymph nodes which drain the inner cheek and the sides of the tongue has got enlarged due to the presence of inflammation in that area (canker sore).
Do not worry! This is normal. Once the sore is healed, the lymph node will disappear completely. It is not related to the periods.
Canker sore can be treated by the following:
1. Drinking plenty of warm water
2. Taking plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
3. Local application of oral steroid gel
4. Dilute povidone iodine mouth washes
5. Avoid chilled/hot food and beverages, smoking and excess coffee
