Dressing and medicines- Surgery SOS
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and clear pictures.
This is a boil, the skin has become black due to the local necrosis so a dead skin. This may slough out if you put a sterile dressing over it after cleaning the area with Liquid Povidone Iodine. By tomorrow this may open up once you remove the dressing.
Consult a Surgeon, so that proper course of an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory medicines will help to resolve the infection and cellulitis around it. Continue dressings.
If this does not open up within a few days, your Surgeon may clean the would surgically for an early and complete haling. This will not need any biopsy. Surgery SOS means only if required.
I hope you are not a diabetic, please get the blood sugar checked.
