Suggest Treatment For Painful Bump On Leg

Question: I have this bump on the inside of my leg and it is painfuland it won't pop. it just showed up a day ago
Brief Answer:
Likely cyst
Detailed Answer:
This appears to be an infected sebaceous cyst.
Since the symptoms have persisted and progressed you may need an antibiotic. I would recommend you go to a local urgent care or primary care provider for an examination. The medical provider may then consider an antibiotic to help facilitate clearing of the infection.
Warm compresses may be helpful as well. I would not recommend squeezing the area as this can sometimes make this issue worse.
Thanks again for the query,
Sincerely,

Brief Answer:
Follow up
Detailed Answer:
thanks for the additional information.
This could possibly be a blister as well but my concern is that there may be an underlying infection based on the appearance.for this reason I think consideration of an antibiotic might be a logical approach. You could also have the medical provider evaluate the area to see if a sterile procedure can be done to alleviate some of the fluid pressure that has built up. I would not suggest that you try puncturing this area by yourself.
warm compresses or warm soaks could potentially provide significant relief and you can try this as well. I do think it will be a very good idea for you to see a local healthcare provider at your next available convenience.

Detailed Answer:
The zpak might help. This is something you could try for the next few days. However if your symptoms do not improve you should do whatever you can to see a medical provider locally.
I don't think topical steroids will help you.
also, minimizing pressure and friction in that area would be advisable although I understand this is difficult to achieve.
