Suggest Treatment For Painful Lump In The Armpit And Itching On The Breast
Question: Targeted ultrasound of the right axilla in the area of pain as indicated by the patient demonstrates an elongate 2.4 cm x 1.4 cm hypoechoic area with significant internal vascularity. The area is centred just below the dermis.
This was the findings of my first ultrasound.
My second ultrasound was this:
There has been complete interval resolution of the previously seen hypoechoic area in the right axilla. No abnormalities present.
The painful lump has returned and I have also noticed a slight itchy patch on my right breast. I have a call into my doctor.
What does this mean?

I have studied your case. Painful enlarged swelling in the axilla is mostly a lymph node and it can be due to infection. As you had in past also that get dissolved and now again reappear I would suggest you to follow these steps.
1.Start antibiotic like Augmentin or Amoxyclav 625 mg three times daily.
2.Get needle test by aspiration of fluid from this swelling. It will confirm the diagnosis.
3.Your itching can be a different pathology and need to be checked by skin specialist. Till then you can apply Betamethasone cream over that lesion.
