Brief Answer:
Possible yeast overgrowth.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

If you have been on a broad spectrum antibiotic such as Amox./Clavulanate, you may have a yeast infection of the skin around the anus and vagina. Broad spectrum antibiotics kill not only harmful bacteria, but also upset the normal flora in the gut and vagina and make it more likely to have a yeast overgrowth.

I recommend getting an anti fungal cream specifically listed for killing Candida (yeast). These include clotrimazole and miconazole. You can try just using a cream on the area you described, or it might be more helpful to use an anti yeast cream inside the vagina, which will help the outside too.

I also recommend taking an oral probiotic that contains lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus to try to repopulate your gut flora with helpful bacteria. You can find some in the refrigerator section of stores that have these.

If these things don't help, please do go in to see doctor. But I think they will help.

Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
