Suggest Treatment For Palpitations While On Propanol For Anxiety

Question: I currently take 40mg of Propanol for anxiety once a day. My anxiety is really bad at the moment and I suffer from palpitations which makes it worse. Can I up my dosage to see if it helps my anxiety and palpitations
Brief Answer:
Propanolol can be increased
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You can increase the dosage of propanolol if the symptoms are not subsided. In fact your doctor has prescribed the safe dose and lowest dose. If you have additional symptoms you should opt for other antianxiety medications which may be short lived like Clonazepam or Alprazolam. These are with addiction potential.
All in all propanolol and other medicines that I mentioned are prescription based hence need a doctor's advice even before you increase the dose.
