Suggest Treatment For Paronychia On Finger
Question: I have a paronychia on my left index finger. I was on Bactrim initially, but when that did not help, I was switched to Keflex, which I am currently taking. I think the condition is improving; the redness has gone down and it is not at all painful. But it is still a bit swollen on one side of the finger and the skin is peeling. My primary doctor cannot see me until Monday. Can you confirm that it seems to be healing? There are no red lines and no spreading of the infection. I have no pain in any joints and no problem bending the finger or using it in any way.Hi, I have provided some attachments. Please review them.

Thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic.
I went through your query and saw the pic uploaded . I am of the opinion that it is healing and also the fact that there is no pain or redness indicates that it is healing .
So don't worry about pealing of skin, just finish of the dose of Keflex and it shall heal completely.
Hope this information was useful to you .
Any clarifications feel free to ask.
