Suggest Treatment For Patchy Rash On Leg Of A Child

Question: My 1 year old has this rash on his legs it's sorta patchy. Nothing was on the rest of his body until yesterday there were little dots on his torso. I had Scabies, but I treated myself, him, my 3 year old and my husband. The one doctor gave him a steroid to take for 5 days called predisolone. Changed huggies diapers back to Pampers like he wore before. Haven't used any different wash soaps or laundry detergent. What could it be?

Dear Ms
Going by short duration of appearance of rash it's unlikely to be scabies. As the diagnosis of skin condition requires thorough visual examination. It would be very helpful if you could provide me with clinical photograph for further assessment and advise
Awaiting your response

Brief Answer:
The rash is due to Urticaria
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms
The rash is due to Urticaria causing wheal like patchy rash. It occurs due to allergic reaction. The doctor has rightly prescribed Prednisone. It should take care of the rash. I would also suggest addition of antihistamine like Cetrizine syrup.
Do not worry the rash will resolve as spontaneously as it appeared. I would also suggest to give hot water bath with application of XXXXXXX and XXXXXXX body wash to remove all oil residue.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Wishing you and your family a very happy and healthy life.
