Brief Answer:
Yes,you need circumcision(sunneth operation).
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX
Thanks for writing to HCM
Your friends has advised you about right operation.
Probably you have developed phimosis due to chronic infection in smegma(secretions under the prepuce ).
You need proper clinical examination by a surgeon.
You need circumcision (sunneth operation),in which foreskin over glans penis is surgically removed.Forceful retraction of foreskin may lead to paraphimosis. It is an emergency situation because it can compromise blood circulation.
Circumcision is also advantageous due to the fact that it prevents against penile cancer.
Urinary tract infection should also be ruled out.
You need investigations like routine hemogram,Urine RE/ME.Further investigation like Ultrasound can be done if needed.
You should also try to keep blood sugar in controlled level because diabetic persons are more prone to develop infections.
Get well soon.
Hope I have answered your question.
