Brief Answer:
it can be treated

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
I understand your concerns.

Pernicious anemia is not rare. It is often not diagnosed properly. In your case it has been diagnosed already so don't worry, it can be corrected.

Vitamin b12 1 mg per day is the standard dose, given until hemoglobin recovers, then frequency is reduced gradually. Also it may be a good idea to get an upper GI endoscopy to see that the stomach is fine.

Hope this helps.
I will be available for follow up.

yes i had a upper and lower GI and nothing major other than he said gastritis. He also took a biopsy and still after 4 weeks waiting on results. Today my PA sent me a letter in the mail saying now that one of my blood test say i have Celiac disease.

Anyway what i read is I can not absorb vitamins and minerals untill get Gluten under controll. What can i do to get all the vitamins and minerals in my system during the meantime? I am feeling really bad not wanting to even get out of bed. is B12 all I need?
