Question: if 15 years ago i was diagnosed by a PA to have hpv 6 or 11 one wart treated b/t anus and vigina near thigh which later i treated with over the counter sailylic acid (which know ive realized through reading is not good). i thought it was spreading and was treating everywhere near the inner lips, skin peeled red chem. burn for sure. was so young and the lady gave me very limited education on the topic. long story short havent noticed anything similar since. was wigh a guy 6 years never had unprotected sex with him and i do realize protection sometimes doesnt matter. ihe was the first to have oral sex with and i had noticed or maybe they were always there is mostly above my linea XXXXXXX where yellowish bumps in my mouth that he said where most likely fordeyce granuals. we r both dentists. he never had any rxn from what i could notice. but it freaks me out b/c after vinegar dresses ect the bumps in my mouth are more pronounce. i am very hesitate to start a relationship. have been abstanante for 3 years. who can i go to nog in the dental field for testing in the oral cavity? or should i order a hov saliva test? would it tell me soecifically if it was 6 or 11? also inner lips near entrance of virgina very very tiny bumps could these be warts? im so confused and down about the whole thing? could a vaccine help? or at this point not possible?

Brief Answer:
hpv may be persisting...get pap and fnac

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting through talth care magic.

Having gone through the history it appears that you have been infected with hpv virus strain 6 and 11, rightly indicative for vaginal warts and also the treatment you resorted to with salicylic acid for burning them away was wrong as you would have understood by the chemical burns you suffered.
you must understand that hpv infection is again a self limiting infection over time, but if the symptoms and the warts have persisted in the vaginal area and if you have had sex with your man and then resorted to oral sex later , then likely that these yellow bumps are hpv infection.
firstly i would advise you to undergo PAP SMEAR to rule out any infection in vagina and subject it to hpv screening. also suggested is FNAC of these yellow bumps and further Histopathology exam can confirm or rule out the diagnosis.

as far as vaccination is concerned there are two vaccines available against hpv associated cervical erosions namely, GARDASIL which is quadrivalent and CERVARIX. they offer protection for 10 years usually , but if already infected then treatment modality differs. i suggest get the first things first...PAP SMEAR and FNAC, and lets see the reports.
you may follow up with the reports.
thanks ,

Brief Answer:
FNAC should make the picture clear

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
thanks for the follow up.

If your PAP smear has been negative and normal in the last 6 month then you need not go for it again. but i suggest an FNAC is a safe investigation both for your lesions in mouth and in the vaginal area.
it would be better if a gynae examination is sought and a skin review may also be considered.
ideally hpv contracted long time back , in your case 15 years, as i said earlier should have self limited itself .
but nevertheless FNAC would allay the doubts created.
