Suggest Treatment For Persistent Burning Sensation In The Eyes, Urticaria And Irritation In Throat

I have been having urticaria problem for more than 6 months now, but I observed that even taking anti-histamines is not giving a long-term cure. I strongly believe that the urticaria is infact due to a respiratory infection, as I also have the following symptoms:
1. Coloured phlegm (occasionally green/brown) that comes out everyday morning when I wake up.
2. General feeling of difficulty having deep breath (slight uncomfort feeling when I take deep breath).
3. Irritation in throat.
4. Generally when the skin rash due to urticaria comes out, I have watery or irritated eyes and a kind of stiffness in the head.
I would like to know if my observation is correct and whether it can be cured by taking any antibiotic for curing respiratory infections.
Would like to add that i also have a persistent burning sensation in the eyes, not sure if that is related.
Thanks,
XXXXXX
you are having allergic rhino sinusitis with PND.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query , reviewed medications and understand your concern.
As per your clinical history it appears that you are having allergic rhino sinusitis with post nasal discharge (PND) causing respiratory problems .
Persistent burning sensation in the eyes , urticaria , Irritation in throat & respiratory problems all are because of allergy .
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you
Steam Inhalation twice daily, Saline nasal spray thrice daily ,
Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast combination once in night till the allergy subsides ,
antibiotic Ofloxacin + ornidazole twice daily after meal for 10 days .
You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Regards.
