Posted on Wed, 2 Sep 2015
Question: I am suffering from cough and congestion since a month now, have been diagnosed with slight pneumonia in left lower zone and have undertaken treatment from a local doctor. However even after a month my condition has not completely improved. I am attaching all the test reports, looking forward to your advise.

Brief Answer:
Better to get done CT thorax with contrast.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through all the reports you have attached.
Your all blood reports are normal and not suggestive of any acute infection.
But your chest x ray is showing small opacity. This opacity is persistent even after 15 days.
So better to get done CT thorax with Contrast. CT will be more diagnostic than chest x ray in such x ray opacities.
Please let me know
1. Do you have fever with chills?
2. Do you have weight loss?
3. Do you have loss of appetite and decreased oral intake?
4. Which drugs you have taken in these 15 days?
Please reply me answers of above asked questions, so that I can guide you better.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.
