Question: about two weeks ago I had real bad diarrhea for a couple of days. since then I have not felt 100%. right after the diarrhea stopped I broke out in a rash. that is now gone, but my skin is still very sensitive. I normally exercise daily, and went for a run a few days ago, but ended up throwing up.

Brief Answer:
Disturbed gut flora.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear patient,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your details and i appreciate your concerns.
Most likely you hadcan episode of gastroenteritis which was self limiting but that episode had caused disturbance in intestinal flora. Our gut consists of large number of good bacteria which are responsible for proper digestion and absortion of food..Infection to gut causes disturbance in this flora leading to dyspepsia.Dyspepsia, in layman's language is known as indigestion. However, it's a broad term and not just a disease in itself. Dyspepsia include bloating, nausea and loose stools or constipation.

Suggestions-

Take Zofran 4 mg teice daily for 3 days to provide relief in nausea.
Take a probiotic like VSL#3 teicecdaily for next 2 weeks. It will help to replete gut flora and would improve overall digestion.
Take lots of yoghurt in food they are rich in lactobacillus.
Apart from this, some dietary restrictions for few days are-

- Avoid alcohol or smoking.
- No aerated beverages.
- Take light non spicy easily digestible food for few days.
- No Fast food like pizza or burger should be taken.
- Drink a cup of cold milk daily.
- Avoid fatty foods.

Hope i provided you with sufficient information.
