Brief Answer:
Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query. I'll try my best to help you out with this problem.

The symptoms described by you is characteristic of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This is an inner ear condition wherein the micro otoliths present inside the ampulla of the semicircular canal gets dislodged from its original position and floats freely into the rings of the canal. The free movement of otoliths in the rings during change of posture irritates the sensitive nerves and induces vertigo.

This is one of the commonest ENT problem. With few office procedures it can be completely cured.

You need to consult your ENT specialist to perform Hallpike's Maneuver to find out the affected ear. Depending upon that, Epley's correction procedure is done. Do not worry! Both are simple office procedures.

Meanwhile, you can take Betahistine or Cinnarizine for the vertigo.

Hope I have answered your query. I'll be available for the follow up queries.
