My son was riding his bike and hit a stoped car with the side of his face (jaw, head) last wednesday. Since then, he has had headaches on and off, bettered by Tylenol. Tonight again, he took 2. He is 16 years old. He did not loose conciousness nor did he vomit. But his headaches are persisting.

It is important to know where exactly did he hit (you say side of face and jaw) and where is the pain. This can guide us towards and suspected internal injury. He also has a cold (his sinuses are blocked since last Monday). My son suffers from IgA deficiency and also has sinusitis often. He really hit the side of his face (he shows me the cheek and the side of his head). So he hit the car and his sinuses are blocked. Should we go to an emergency room?

Forgot to tell you that his headache tonight is not going away even if he took Tylenol.
