Suggest Treatment For Persistent Heart Palpitations And Severe Anxiety

I was really good fo a while but I had a heart palpitation a few months ago and got scared so i went to the ER.
Other than a neurvous feeling in my chest, i had no other palpitations, no pain, no numbness and found out i had a normal rythm, i had a normal Ecg.
Work has been stressful lately and while watching the game last night i had a palpitation.
After that i got that same neurvous feeling in my chest. I didnt get any more palpitations and my heart rate stayed around 70 and still is this morning.
I still feel anxious though and that neurvous feeling in my body and chest.
I had no other palpitations or anything. Just neurvous feeling.
I already know im asking a loaded question here and medical profesionals answer is always go to the Dr but seriously, is this very likely just anxiety? I have no tightness, no pain, no numbness, in chest, arms or anything.
I hate to keep going to the Dr asking if im having a heart attack when i dont even think im having one. I believe this is anxiety myself, what are your thoughts
Your symptoms are not related to any cardiac disorders.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I carefully passed through your question and like to reassure you that your symptoms are very likely to be related to anxiety.
They are not typical of any cardiac disorders. From the other hand your normal ECG can confirm this.
So relax and try not to think about it!
You should know that anxiety can cause similar symptoms. From the other hand, even if not a typical panic attack, some strange persistent non specific feelings and the obsession that something is wrong, are part of anxiety.
So, to conclude the only thing to do in this situation is close your eyes and take a deep breath. Meditation will help you go through this situation.
If these troubles persist, I would recommend consulting with a specialist of this field (psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.) to help you manage your anxiety.
A lot of physical exercise and yoga are also very helpful.
Meanwhile, I would recommend avoid caffeine intake, which can trigger this sympotamatology.
Hope to have been helpful!
Kind regards,
Dr. Iliri

Today, all patients seem to hear is "if your concerned go to the ER".
Ive done this as im sure many others have but you dont really want to do it repetitivly. It seems to be bad for all parties involved.
Anyway, thank you.
I did have more caffeine last week than normal and life is stressful.
Maybe whats causing my issue
s
Just try to relax!
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
You have no reason to go to the ER!
Just relax, close your eyes and take a deep breath.
It is all a matter of anxiety! Nothing serious!
And caffeine seems to play a big role in this symptomatology. I would recommend avoiding it in the next days.
Wishing good health,
Dr. Iliri
