Take Laxatives
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXX,
How are you doing?
Hope this message finds you in good health.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.
Constipation usually occurs due to indigestion of food and gaseous distention of abdomen.
You already are taking so many medicines for blood pressure, diabetes etc.
These tablets are responsible for constipation to some extent.
The cramping that you are experiencing in the abdomen is also due to similar reasons.
I suggest you to take laxative antiflatulent medicines like Cremaffin syrup or dulcolax and gasex tablets,1 hour before going to sleep at bedtime. This will clear off your bowels and give you relief from abdominal cramping as well.
To avoid constipation in future,i suggest you to consume high fibre diet like green leafy vegetables, green peas, spinach, cereals and similar foods.
Avoid taking milk as it causes gaseous distention of abdomen.
Eat your food in divided quantities at divided intervals of time.
Have dinner atleast 3 hours before going to bed for proper digestion of food.
40 minutes walking and yoga will also help avoiding these problems in future.
I hope this answer was useful.
Feel free to contact me anytime for any follow up queries.
Thank you.
Best wishes.
(Convey my humble regards to Mrs Jesintha. Hope she is doing well)
My BP and sugar are well within control with the above tablets. Is there any possibility to reduce the intake of tablets since they have side effects?
Query answered
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Your BP and sugar levels are within control because you take the above tablets.
These tablets, once started cannot be completely stopped. They have to be taken for lifetime.
One thing you can do is try and reduce the dose of the medicines or there are newer combination tablets available now which have 2-3 medicines combined in one tablet. This way you can cut down these 7 types of tablets to 4-5 tablets per day.
You can talk to your physician about this.
Thank you.
