Suggest Treatment For Persistent Joints Pain

Question: I have joint aches and have felt awful for a week, went to Dr and she said that there was no sign of inflammation in my ear nose throat by exam. urine sample showed no bacteria high white count. I had recently been on vacation and had removed 2 deer ticks neither were biting at time of removal.she dismissed that. Later that day my lower right lip and chin became numb (feels like novocaine) and I started to have pain, I have been taking Aleve or Advil but it doesn't last for more than an hour. I will be seeing the dentist on Tuesday anything I can do before then.
