Suggest Treatment For Persistent Nausea And Fatigue While On Lo Loestrin Fe

Nausea, food aversion, fatigue, dizziness, crying sore breasts etc. I have had a negative reaction to birth control before and experienced similar symptoms, so I stopped taking the lo Estrin on Tuesday. I took three pregnancy tests just to be sure( first thing in the morning- fresh urine) and they all came back negative. I also started bleeding- bright red and fairly heavy- enough to need a few tampons a day) but I'm still experiencing the nausea and food aversion. There isn't really any chance that I could be pregnant and have it not show up on the home pregnancy test if I'm far enough along to have such severe symptoms is there? Could it be another bad reaction to the hormone in he pills? Today is my second day of not taking the pill- how long until the side effects wear off? Thanks

Hello,
I have gone carefully through your concern.
First of all, with three negative pregnancy test the pregnancy is excluded. They are very sensitive in '' diagnosing'' pregnancy and become positive about 10 days after conceiving, while the symptoms of high HCG ( like nausea) start later.
Nausea, breast tenderness are more common when you first start taking the pill and are suggestive of too high estrogen levels in blood.
At the other side, nausea and breast tenderness is often a side effect of birth control pills withdraw which may be caused by your body being stuck in an "estrogenic" phase similar to pregnancy as your hormone levels relearn how to balance on their own.
It usually takes 1 to three months to get back to normal after stopping the pills.
I would recommend to see a physician to exclude other pathologies that cause nausea and fatigue, than if everything is normal wait for some weeks until the body finds its balance again.
Hope the information will help.
Kind Regards,
