Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that it is important performing a comprehensive differential diagnosis between different causes that may lead to your symptoms:

- persistent nausea and vomiting could be related to a metabolic disorder, inflammation, gastritis or esophagitis.
- Adrenal gland insufficiency can not be excluded either, considering the fact that you have been taking steroids.
- an electrolyte imbalance could be caused by repeated vomiting. The low blood pressure could be related to dehydration or electrolyte imbalance.

The repeated bruises are related to falling or have appeared without any cause? If they have appeared without any cause they could be a sign of inflammation or coagulation disorder.

Coming to this point, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:

- a resting ECG
- a chest X ray study
- an abdominal ultrasound
- blood electrolytes
- complete blood count
- kidney and liver function tests
- cortisol plasma levels to check the adrenal gland function
- coagulation tests
- PCR, ESR for inflammation.

Meanwhile, I recommend avoiding physical activity or prolonged standing up position and take plenty of fluids to stay well hydrated. Metoclopramide 10mg three times daily, coupled with omeprazole will help against nausea and vomiting.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
