Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pressure In The Ears Caused By Tinnitus

Question: I've had tinnitus for years but woke up this morning with louder than usual ringing in my right ear. I also feel some pressure in it but cannot get it to pop. Sometimes I feel like I can hear some gurgling in it.I should add that at the first of the year I had BBPV in my right ear. It cleared up with the Epley manuever , but the ear has just felt a little different ever since.
Brief Answer:
Possible relapse of BPPV.
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.
I can certainly understand your concern.
This current episode can be a relapse of BPPV with more atypical presentation.
At this point, I advise you to go with a short course of anti BPPV agents MECLIZINE for 2 weeks.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
In case if the symptoms does not resolve after 2weeks, it's advisable to go for further higher investigations like Electrocochleography and CT temporal bone to decide further course of action.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
