Suggest Treatment For Persistent Small Bumps On The Forehead
Question: I have no history of rosescea, acne, or any skin disease other than minor occasional excema which comes and goes ..... it is in full remission. Out of the middle of nowhere, I moved to Arizona from NY last year and started developing small little bumps on my upper forehead which I have been told are oil bumps in my skin and to see a dermatologist. Meanwhile, a couple of weeks later, my entire face broke out bright red. If I put a simple moisturizer on it, the skin wil turn even brighter red and looks burned. I am using one simple soap and that is all. My wife thinks this can be a reaction to omega 3 fish oil or something else. I have a list of all the meds and supplements that I take. I am a 64 white male, history of recurrent choroidal melanoma which has been successfully treated, one bad case of pneumonia, and c-difficile acquired in the hospital while being treated for c-diff. Otherwise, no current medical issues. Historically, have been successfully treated for severe obesity, post-traumatic stress disorder, and major depressive disorder (see cancer history which was diagnosed twice as being six months and terminal). What do you think?

Apparently I am only allowed to do this three times.
I have no scaling on the affected area. My face does not itch.
I (used) a sunscreen until this happened. Now if I put anything
but the most basic stuff on my face, it burns bright red like I have
been out in the sun at sea with no sun screen.
Given my history, I also never go in the sun despite where I live.
The local Doc here thinks this is not rosecea because it came out of nowhere,
that it is an reaction to something, asked if I took niacin (no), told me to use a soap for excema to help my face, put a steroid cream for three days on my face to get rid of the red, and then continue with the face cleaner and an excema moisturizer for the next three weeks. The products are made by Cetaphil. We went through my meds and the local doc didn't see anything that might cause this type of reaction. Says my skin will dry and flake off .... and heal. If I put anything on my face other than this - I tried - my face turns worse than XXXXXXX Trump's hair color. And it goes through my neck. Thanks, XXXX

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Poikiloderma of Civatte
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Limited by my ability to assess you only on an Image I would keep a possibility of Pokiloderma of Civatte which manifests as mottled redness and telangiectasis on sun exposed skin of neck and face. This condition is more common in fair skin color and is related to chronic/ cummulative sun exposure over the years
I would suggest that you use a broad spectrum sunscreen (spf 50+), throuhgout the day as well as recommed sessions of IPL for redness/ telangiectasis if it is confirmed to be poikiloderma or something similar by your local dermatologist.
